About
Researcher at IDSIA USI-SUPSI since 2015. Holds a Master’s degree (2012) from the University of Ferrara, with a thesis on the application of heuristic methods for the optimization of image processing algorithms in intraoral scanning applications. Prior to joining IDSIA, he gained industrial experience as a Software and Product Engineer, contributing to R&D activities in both medium and large-sized enterprises. His research aims to apply optimization and machine learning methods in the domains of energy, mobility, and health, with a focus on energy management and electric mobility. In parallel, he is pursuing a PhD on data-centric AI for energy systems since 2025, investigating how data quality, representativeness, and integration affect the performance and reliability of machine learning models. His work aims to develop methodologies for assessing and improving dataset adequacy in energy applications, including building energy consumption and electric vehicle charging data.
