Miglioramento di algoritmi di elaborazione di immagini da scanner 3D tramite Simulated Annealing
Abstract
This work presents the application of artificial intelligence techniques for processing and aligning images acquired from 3D scanners, which are used to generate digital three-dimensional models. To improve the alignment of frames captured in successive scans and achieve a more accurate reconstruction of the 3D model, the Simulated Annealing technique was integrated with an image processing algorithm, namely the Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm. ICP aligns each newly acquired frame with the previously generated model through successive rotations and translations.
